ITINERARY

The Yarra Valley is a world class, world renowned wine region, reminiscent of Bordeaux or Burgundy in the South of France, or the Tuscany region of Northern Italy. It is a place of unspoilt pristine beauty, where the water and the air are clean and crisp, the views spectacular and the friendly ambience invites you to just rest for a while, kick back and savour the very best regional or international cuisine on offer or a glass of world class wine. Whatever your indulgence you’re sure to find it in the Yarra Valley.

The historic house of Chateau Yering is situated on 250 acres of land with 1.5 miles of Yarra River frontage. It enjoys spectacular views across the Yarra Valley to the Great Dividing Range. A sweeping rose-bordered driveway takes you to the beautifully restored Chateau Yering. Once the place for many a Victorian weekend party, now a gracious five star hotel only 50 minutes from Melbourne. The thirty-two individually decorated luxury suites offer unsurpassed rural views while cozy guest lounges with open fires are the ideal place for reading, conversing with friends or enjoying a glass of Yarra Valley wine. The fine dining room Eleonore’s, with its emphasis on regional produce matched with local wine has been recognized with numerous culinary awards, and the vibrant Sweetwater Cafe serves gourmet breakfasts, light meals and luscious cakes throughout the day.

Let the breeze usher you along the corridors of grape vines and over the Yarra River as you take in the breathtaking views of mountains that surround the valley. Meet at the Fergussons Winery half an hour before sunrise (you will be advised of the exact time on your confirmation sheet). Your pilot will give you a short briefing. You will then be transported to the launch site where you may help with the launch, or stand back and take pictures. Then away you go, floating gently over the Yarra Valley in a beautiful balloon. You’ll fly for approximately one hour over the beautiful Yarra Valley, completing the experience with a buffet champagne breakfast at Fergussons Winery.
