Take this off the shelf or customize and add on other destinations and touring.  Auckland is the gateway to Northland and the Bay of Islands, and you’ll have two nights to experience the City of Sails. Travel north via the Hibiscus Coast to the Bay of Islands. Arrive in Paihia and enjoy a guided visit to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Cruise out to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock before an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the bay and the endless activities on offer in this sun-laden region. 

Back in Auckland, we suggest a visit to Waiheke Island for wine tasting and art galleries, or perhaps shopping and a nice dinner at the viaduct. Travel to the fascinating Waitomo Caves where you will delight in a guided tour of the famous glowworm grotto.  In the evening, witness a Maori performance followed by a Maori Hangi (feast)—a definite must see. In Rotorua you’ll discover all the highlights with a full day of included touring. Fly from Rotorua to Queenstown (flight, own expense).

Herel you will have three nights to truly appreciate the natural beauty, the bustling village and perhaps try one of the adventure activities on offer. On one day a full-day Milford Sound tour, with a cruise,
is included. Travel north from Queenstown to Christchurch via Mount Cook. Take in some of New Zealand’s most stunning landscapes, including the Southern Alps, before arriving in Christchurch for two
nights. Venture to Kaikoura and board a whale watch cruise before returning your rental car.
