Hawke’s Bay Wine Country is New Zealand’s leading food and wine region. With over 2200 hours of sunshine, Hawke’s Bay is a year-round holiday destination with an eclectic mix of visual and sensory experiences.

DAY 1
Arrive in Napier and make your way to The Masters Lodge, your home for the next 2 nights. The Masters Lodge is a small luxury lodge positioned atop Bluff Hill in the Art Deco City of Napier with spectacular views over the blue South Pacific Ocean, Cape Kidnappers, the Art Deco City of Napier and the Marine Parade.

This historic landmark residence was designed in the famed ‘Australasian Bungalow’ style of the late 1800s and subsequently expanded and retro-fitted in the Art Deco style of the 1930s by one of New Zealand’s most wealthy entrepreneurs, Johann Gerhard Husheer.

The Lodge features original Art Deco and Art Nouveau furnishings, servant bell system and extensive leadlighting (stained glass) throughout. The Lodge also offers a Living Room & Cocktail Lounge, Formal Dining Room, Solarium with Sky TV, CDs, Videos and Laptop with wireless internet access, superbly stocked Wine Cellar, Deco Drawing Room, shady Verandahs, beautifully maintained Flower Gardens in park-like grounds, off-street parking, and much, much more!

The Lodge offers only 2 guest suites each with ensuite bath. Each suite overlooks Cape Kidnappers, the Art Deco city of Napier, the South Pacific Ocean and the Marine Parade.

The beach, shops, restaurants, museums and central business district are all within a 10 minute walk from the lodge.

Gourmet Dinners are prepared by an in-house chef and are complemented by rare local wines from an extensive wine cellar. Start your day with a delicious breakfast on the shady verandah, in the garden, or in the impressive dining room, and soak up the scenic splendor that matches the quality of the Lodge!

DAY 2
Rise and enjoy a wonderful gourmet breakfast before venturing out on a winery tour. Bay Tours established Hawke’s Bay’s first wine tour in 1982. Your tour guide’s background in the wine industry ensures you experience the very best of Hawke’s Bay’s hand-crafted wine styles and savor the finest cuisine, while visiting a combination of boutique and historical wineries. Your tour will be fun, relaxed and informal. Enjoy lunch (own expense) before returning back to Napier.

Napier, New Zealand’s Art Deco capital is the perfect setting for your afternoon walk. Join the 20,000 plus people who take a guided Art Deco Walk each year. Your accredited guide will bring Napier’s fascinating architecture to life for you as you take an easy stroll through the compact Art Deco Quarter in the vibrant city center.

DAY 3
Today you will depart Napier, and continue your onward journey.
