ITINERARY
This 3 night family package combines the ease and convenience of a two bedroom suite with the best family friendly activities to entertain everyone.
DAY 1
Upon arrival in Queenstown, check in to your two bedroom suite at the Heritage Queenstown. The rest of the day is free to explore Queenstown.
DAY 2
The morning is free to explore the town and surrounds on your own. This evening, make your own way to the Skyline Gondola, located a five minute walk from the center of town. The best views in the region are found here spread out in a spectacular 220 degree panorama, with breathtaking views of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables mountain range and across Lake Wakatipu to Cecil and Walter Peaks. It’s truly magnificent and awe-inspiring! Of course there’s more to do than just admire the view! Enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the Skyline Restaurant, serving up a Taste of New Zealand buffet of legendary proportions. Or sit back, relax in the bar and take in the views. Add a touch of New Zealand’s indigenous culture with the live Kiwi Haka Maori performance—an authentic and powerful experience. The more adventurous can give the Skyline Luge a try at their own expense.
DAY 3
Today you will enjoy a cruise on the historic TSS Earnslaw across Lake Wakatipu to the Walter Peak High Country Farm. Experience rural New Zealand as you take a walking tour of the farmyard. You’ll learn about traditional farming practices and the significance of the various animals. You can help feed the sheep and get close to the deer and Scottish Highland cattle. Watch the sheep dogs in action, see the shearing and maybe try your hand at spinning wool. Then stroll through the lakeside gardens to the charming Colonel’s Homestead for a traditional morning or afternoon tea.
