DAY 1
Arrive Papeete. Be met and greeted on arrival with fragrant flower leis before being transferred to Le Meridien Tahiti.

Situated in the heart of the Punaauia region, Le Mridien Tahiti overlooks white sand beaches, calming blue waves, and commanding mountains. Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, is a cultural hub of the South Pacific, featuring colorful markets, distinguished art and history museums, and lush botanical gardens. Immerse yourself in the rich history and contemporary luxury of the Tahitian islands at the stunning Le Mridien Tahiti. Your Lagoon View Room is very spacious and looks directly over the blue lagoon of Tahiti and features a terrace, the ideal place to read or take in the sunset.

DAY 2
Learn more about the culture of Tahiti today, during your tour visiting the Cultural Highlights of Tahiti. See One Tree Hill and the museum of James Norman Hall on the east coast, and the museum of Tahiti and her islands, as well as the Marae Arahurahu on the west coast of the island. Entrance fees to the museums are paid on arrival.

DAY 3
Today you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Huahine. If you are looking for a destination that is off the beaten track and away from maddening crowds, a place where you can slip into a different world, a different culture, where you are sure to meet new and interesting people, a place to be surrounded by a calmness that you might only dream about, this is what you will find at Te Tiare Beach Resort.

Experience luxury at its finest in the magical, lush, tropical surroundings, tucked away in a small bay on the island of Huahine. The only access to the resort is by boat. After a short 35 minute flight from Tahiti you will be driven to Huahine’s nearby main village of Fare. Along the way, you will begin to discover Huahine’s magnificent variety of exotic plants. Vanilla, coffee, watermelon and taro plantations abound, while breadfruit, mango, banana, and papaya groves may be found throughout the Island. While enjoying the 15 minute boat ride from the village to the resort, through a breathtaking turquoise blue lagoon, you may catch glimpse of some of the island’s rich marine life. Upon arrival at the resort, you will immediately discover the unique difference of the Te Tiare Beach Resort.

The afternoon is yours at leisure to acquaint yourself with your new surroundings. Relax and unwind in your exquisitely furnished bungalow. All of the bungalows face west, so you may enjoy the island’s spectacular tropical sunsets as well as admire the nearby islands of Raiatea and Taha’a.

DAY 4
Huahine is rich in living traditions. More has been done on this island to restore the archaeological sites than anywhere else in French Polynesia. Maeva, the ancient capital of Huahine is a rich and exciting archeological site where the remains of prehistoric villages and ancient stone temples, lend clues to a civilization that existed at least 1000 years ago. Visit these historical places today, on your tour by 4WD Jeep Safari and walking tour. Discover Huahine’s magnificent mountains, historic sites, churches, and temples, tropical valleys, ancient fish traps and sacred eels. This half-day excursion allows you to learn much about this unspoiled island paradise. The Maraes and archeological sites on Huahine are definitely the most impressive of any of the Society Islands.

DAY 5
A full day of touring is enjoyed today with a Lagoon Boat Tour and Picnic. A rich and marvelous day around the lagoon of Huahine will be spent. Learn about legends and history, fauna and flora, and visit a pearl farm. Enjoy a fantastic picnic for lunch where you will actually be seated in the cool, blue lagoon with traditional food and lively music to entertain.

DAYS 6 & 7
Enjoy the rest of your stay on Huahine at your leisure. Huahine itself is actually 2 islands known as Huahine-Nui and Huahine-Iti (Big Huahine and Little Huahine). Interconnected by a bridge, both islands can be easily explored in a day or two, making this a travel destination you will never forget. There are many things that make Huahine stand out among the Society islands, but perhaps the most treasured one is the much sought after idea of solitude and quietness.

DAY 8
Today you will be transferred back to the airport where you will fly back to Papeete and continue with your onward journey.
