Novotel Queenstown
Novotel Queenstown - location, location, location.

The Novotel Queenstown has one of the best locations in the city – you walk out the front door and are in the middle of downtown Queenstown.  The service is exception, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Great for anyone wanting a first class hotel in Queenstown in a good location. Teresa Ferrari, Destination Specialist.

Awesome Views @ the Crown Metropol Melbourne

Awesome Views @ the Crown Metropol Melbourne

The room was awesome, with amazing views of the city.  The hotel epitomizes five star style! The hotel is next to the casino, so it was very easy access to get around, right at the river front, so you could cross into downtown or get on the subway. The pool was beautiful as was the spa they have as well. It was very impressive indeed, the beds were heavenly. Wanted to take it home with me.  They have a pretty awesome night club there, that some of the rooms when confirmed give you free…

SKYCITY Grand Auckland

SKYCITY Grand Auckland

We just stayed at SKYCITY Grand for a night and loved it.  We had the premium harbor view room which was fab….lovely views and you can see people jumping off Skytower.
The hotel has a New York kind of vibe to it – I really liked it.  Rooms are spacious – not too stark which makes a nice change.  Very comfy beds and the best pillows!
The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and only a short walk to the Viaduct and Queen St for shopping and the…

Cook Islands Unmissable Event

The Cook Islands Constitution Celebrations is the nation’s celebration of nationhood, self- government and independence. Held annually around the national day of 4th August since 1965, it is the one event that involves the whole country, all the islands, vaka, oire and tapere.

Since 2001, it has been re-named as Te Maeva Nui, in recognition of the cultural basis upon which the event is based. It has also developed into an event with significant public participation and therefore economic…

Hollyford Track - 3 Day Walk

Stunning Scenery
Hollyford Track - 3 Day Walk

In the first week of April 2013 I experienced the Hollyford track – a three day walk that included an exciting jet boat ride which eliminated a tedious and “unscenic” part of the regular track, and culminated with a splendid helicopter ride that took us from the ocean into Milford Sound passing Mitre Peak on the way.

The trip was seamless insofar as we were picked up and dropped off from my hotel in Queenstown.  Hiking gear is provided if you wish, all I had to bring was my clothes,…

Hamilton Island Tourism Grows After Oprah Visit

Hamilton Island Tourism Grows After Oprah Visit

A visit by Oprah Winfrey in 2011 put Hamilton Island, Australia, on the map for Americans. When Winfrey visits a destination, the country follows and, therefore, during my recent visit to Australia, I had to find out what drew one of our country’s top media moguls to the tiny island at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef—and it didn’t take long to find out what the hype was about.

Hamilton Island is located off the Queensland coast and is one of the 74 Whitsunday islands. It is the…

Discover New Zealand by Motorhome

Discover New Zealand by Motorhome

There us no better way to discover New Zealand than by Motorhome. A home on the road gives you the freedom to take each day as it comes. Roam the country, finding beautiful and remote places to park and picnic.

Overnight you’ll find it convenient to book a powered site in a holiday park or camping ground. The kitchen, laundry and bathroom facilities are handy and many sites have great positions at the edge of a lake or by the beach. Free camping may be possible, but it’s wise…

Besst Trip Ever

Thank you and Down Under Answers for such a wonderful experience on our fam trip to Australia and New Zealand.  It was so fantastic it’s hard to pick just one highlight.  I think my two favorite experiences were croc hunting on the Daintree River and the private yacht experience with the gourmet lunch on Sydney Harbor.  We ate like kings and queens and got to experience all of the fine cuisine the destinations have to offer.  I had never been to the South Island of New Zealand…

In May of 2011, I was lucky enough to go on a famil with Down Under Answers to Australia and New Zealand. This has always been a dream of mine to go to both places and i was not let down.

Cairns, Australia was the first stop on what lovingly called” the Amazing Race” it was non stop from day 1.  For someone who had never been to this part pf the world, Cairns would make a great home-base. Here you are located to some of Australia’s greatest sites. An Hour north and you are in…
