Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, being one of the greatest Queensland tours, introduces visitors to Australia’s most famous reptiles and other native species through an educational and informative day. Visitors can find themselves observing crocs on a cruise through a lagoon, which mimics the creatures’ natural habitat as well as learning how crocodiles are sustainably farmed. Want to know where you can find this awesome place? Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is located on the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas at Wangetti Queensland, Australia. This route is now known as The Great Barrier Reef Drive and is surrounded by the UNESCO listed Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.

 Did you know that Hartley's Crocodile Adventures is one of the only wildlife tours in the Cairns region that offer a boat cruise as part of the admission fee? Now that’s new! They also have the Gallery of Living Art, which is where you can see many different reptiles, including Komodo dragons and giant reticulated pythons.

Join in the Cassowary Walk, which is where you can see the new Cotton Top Tamarin monkeys and several different crocodile displays. You’ll also receive an insight into our crocodile farm and the role it plays in the contribution to the conservation of wild crocodiles as well as their habitat. Love cute and cuddly creatures? Well, you’re in for a ride because there are also free flight aviaries to view as well as areas to see wombats and koalas!

You’ll learn that the Gondwana Gateway is the 'bridge between two worlds'. This interpretative symbol explains how adaption and isolation shaped our unique fauna over a great period of time. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to view wildlife presentations, a crocodile attack display, crocodile farm tour, cassowary feeding, and a lot more. There’s a whole lot to see and experience, so hang tight because this will be an adventure to remember!

Being one of the extra exciting Cairns vacations, your breakfast with the koalas starts with a transfer from your hotel to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, which arrives in time for a hot and delicious Aussie breakfast as well as a conversation with the koala keepers. Enjoy as you feast on eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, and toast before a wildlife keeper brings in the koala for optional photos and questions. They’ll even provide answers about Australia’s best loved marsupial!

 After a delicious breakfast session and presentation, you have the absolute freedom to enjoy all the exciting wildlife presentations, including a boat cruise on Hartley's Lagoon. As you join the boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon, you’ll get to watch crocodiles feeding and enjoy informative as well as entertaining wildlife presentations throughout the day. In addition, you’ll be seeing Australian wildlife all up close, including kangaroos, wallabies, snakes, cassowaries, quolls and more.  Have a lot of fun!

Breakfast with the Koalas is available every single day with the exception of June 7 and December 25. Pick-up times will vary from collection point. However, breakfast is served upon arrival, which is approximately 9:30am. Bon Appetit!

 What’s not 

Photos with koalas are set at an additional cost as well as with any optional extra’s guests that decide to include once in the park.

Children under 5 are not catered for in our wildlife vacation packages. Child rates apply for those ages 6-15 years.
