The Lord of the Rings locations visited include the Misty Mountains, Pillars of the Kings and The Ford of Bruinen. View stunning lake and mountain vistas over the Wakatipu Basin from The Remarkables mountain range. Head towards Gibbston Valley to the iconic Kawarau Bridge over the spectacular Kawarau Gorge. Travel through historic Arrowtown and cross the river several times before stopping to enjoy refreshments and gold panning. From Arrowtown travel up Coronet Peak to the entrance of dramatic Skippers Canyon, rich in gold mining history. A half-day tour featuring movie locations, scenery and real off-roading.
