A small resort town located 40 miles north of Cairns, Port Douglas is a popular location for visitors where the town’s population can nearly double during popular traveling times. The main attraction that brings many of these visitors to Port Douglas is its proximity to two different world heritage sites; the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest of Daintree.
