Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort is the only Cook Islands resort located on its own private island, Motu Akitua, and the only resort set directly on Aitutaki Lagoon itself. A 2-minute ride by small private ferry from the main island of Aitutaki, this resort truly enjoys 360 degree lagoon views with an all tide swimming beach & marine reserve to compliment.
An intimate collection of 36 bungalows includes 7 Over water Bungalows, the only over water bungalows in the whole of the Cook Islands which enjoy breath taking panoramic views of Aitutaki Lagoon and direct access to the inviting lagoon waters below. 5 Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows enjoy an absolute beachfront location with spectacular lagoon views. A new addition to the property is the introduction of 9 Premium Beachfront Bungalows located directly over Aitutaki Lagoon featuring the champagne sands of Sunset Beach with magnificent views over the lagoon, featuring a fabulous outdoor shower with hammocks close by.14 Beachfront Bungalows also located on the island’s sunset side with stunning views out towards the O’otu (Full Moon) Channel and lagoon beyond and of course the gorgeous Honeymoon Villa—Te Arau.
All bungalows feature private veranda with outdoor furniture, air conditioning, super king bed with twin bed configuration available in all rooms, satellite TV with DVD player, radio alarm clock, bathrobes, shower, hairdryer, In-room safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea making facilities, fan, IDD phone, iron/ board, insect screens, nightly turndown service, daily housemaid service and room service available 7am-9pm. All bungalows offer charming Polynesian décor with thatched roofs and island style furnishings.
Set right at the water’s edge, the resorts Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill offers Aitutaki‘s most spectacular dining views along with fresh local seafood produce transformed by the Chef into delectable Pacific-inspired dishes. The resort has a full spa on site, Spa Polynesia where guests can enjoy an aromatherapy massage, facial, manicure or pedicure or a Jacuzzi and sauna session.
