Continue to Cairns where you can relax at one of Cairn’s newest five-star hotels, Crystalbrook Flynn. Cruise to the Barrier Reef and enjoy a scenic helicopter flight to see the landscape from above. Discover Cape Tribulation and the Daintree National Park and then relax poolside and take in the ambience of the tropics.
You won’t miss a beat while you explore Sydney on a 5-hour tour that includes a comprehensive city tour, lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Rushcutters Bay, and a visit to Bondi Beach. In Sydney, see highlights including the historic Rocks district, Royal Botanical Gardens, Parliament House, Hyde Park Barracks, St Mary’s Cathedral, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. You’ll also drive through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross, Oxford Street and the suburbs of Paddington, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watsons Bay, enjoying informative commentary along the way.
You will make lifetime memories when you step aboard ‘Spirit of Migloo’. Cruise around the beautiful Sydney Harbor on the exclusive 78ft luxury vessel. Departing from Darling Harbor, the sites of Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House are in perfect view. This evening, dine under a million starts at the acclaimed Sounds of Silence. Travel out to a private dining setting in the middle of the desert and sip on a glass of sparkling wine with the sound of a lone didgeridoo filling the air. Marvel at the colors as the sun slowly sets over Kata Tjuta and Uluru before enjoying a feast of Northern Territory delights.
This morning you’ll join your guide on a trek around the full base of Uluru and explore the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. As you start your sunrise trek around the 7.45-mile base trail of Uluru, you can embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith. Witness a spectacular sunrise, visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients. Take time out to enjoy an outback picnic breakfast as you listen to the various desert noises from the surrounding environment. Return to the resort to relax by the pool or take in some of the complimentary activities available. This afternoon, travel in a small group to the awe-inspiring Kata Tjuta. Arrive at Walpa Gorge and walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how about they evolved over millions of years. Return to the resort early evening.
An early morning start as you arrive in complete darkness and enjoy the 50,000 globes of lights glowing in the desert before making your way to a sand dune to the Field of Light sunrise viewing platform where you’ll have views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a warm coffee, tea or hot chocolate as the sun starts to creep above the horizon beside Uluru, lighting up the sky before returning to the resort.
Transfer to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Cairns (not included). On arrival, transfer to Crystalbrook Flynn for a five-night stay.
Bring your hat and sunblock as you depart Cairns and enjoy a full day on the Great Barrier Reef. With five hours of reef time visiting two spectacular reef locations, your day offers you more time to experience the world’s most famous National Park. A gourmet lunch, together with a free glass of wine and snack on the return journey provides a level of service and comfort unmatched. Take to the sky to see the reef from above with a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight is included in your day on the Reef.
Few people get to say they been to a rainforest – today you get to spend the day exploring the World Heritage-listed Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Park. Discover the secrets of the ancient rainforest and pristine waters of Mossman Gorge on a guided walk. Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Daintree River, keeping an eye out for crocodiles and other wildlife. Marvel at the spectacular views from Alexandra Lookout before a delicious tropical lunch at a private rainforest setting. Walk through the rainforest at the secluded lunch location. Visit where the rainforest meets the reef and stroll along Cape Tribulation Beach. Enjoy an afternoon refreshment of locally made exotic fruit ice cream at the Daintree Ice Cream Company before returning to Cairns.
Before your journey home – you will have two full days to relax poolside or customize your stay with optional tours. Travel to the Atherton Tablelands on a food tasting journey, get up-close with native wildlife at Hartleys or ride the rails on the Kuranda Scenic railway.
