Equal parts dynamic and cosmopolitan, Melbourne is today the sporting and cultural capital of Australia. Discover why Melbourne was voted the world’s most livable city seven years in a row!

Explore Melbourne’s charming laneways and opulent arcades on a small group walking tour. Uncovered tucked-away gems like specialty boutiques and local fashion designers, and savor Melbourne’s café culture with a stop for coffee or tea, a chocolate tasting, and an optional lunch at a local eatery.

Get a real taste of Melbourne on a 2-hour walking tour of the famous Queen Victoria Market. Browse the myriad stalls and mingle with the locals.

Experience this majestic coastal drive along the Great Ocean Road and fully appreciate the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Stay on the lookout for some very special animals including whales, dolphins, echidnas, and bandicoots. Stop at Apollo Bay for lunch, a tranquil seaside town which is most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. Enjoy a walk in the forest in the Otway Ranges before visiting the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge

Adventure awaits beyond Melbourne in regional Victoria. Collect your rental vehicle and head to Phillip Island, a short 90-minute drive from Melbourne. Discover the best Phillip Island has to offer with nature park pass. Watch in awe of nature’s true spectacles – little penguins waddling home at the Penguin Parade; spot koalas, wallabies, and birdlife in their bushland habitat at the Koala Conservation Reserve, and experience the heritage working farm, historical grounds, and gardens at Churchill Island. Learn stories of conservation, climate resilience and what lives in the deep, with the interactive and immersive experiences at the Antarctic Journey.

Continue south to Wilsons Promontory, which clings to the southern fringe of the Australian mainland. Take a walk along Squeak Beach or Whisky Bay or explore the labyrinth of walking tracks taking you to explore the furthest corners of the national park, from epic panoramic views atop Mt Oberon.  See Wilsons Promontory from a different perspective aboard a yellow ecoboats 2.5-hour cruise from Tidal River. Explore rarely seen glimpses of the magical marine national park.

Today, drive 3 hours to Bairnsdale, traveling through quaint towns and wine country along the way. Pop into Lightfoot and Sons Wines for a tasting or pop over to Raymond Island on the ferry for the koala walk.

Travel from Bairnsdale across the border to New South Wales to Merimbula, stopping along the way to take in the sights. Take a walk on the Merimbula Boardwalk or visit Potoroo Palace. Be sure to visit The Pinnacles, a short loop walks through the forest with stunning views.

A short drive north takes you to Bateman’s Bay, a great base along the Pacific Ocean to discover this coastal town. Visit Batemans Bay Heritage Museum, snorkel, swim, or stand-up paddleboard. Visit Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens or explore Mogo Wildlife Park.

The Blue Mountains is your destination after a 4.5-hour drive north from Batemans Bay. Best known for its soaring sandstone ridges blanketed in native bushland. Nestled within the wilderness lie charming mountain towns, ancient Aboriginal rock art and the iconic tourist attraction of Scenic World. An early morning guided tour is included as your rendezvous with kangaroos.

Your final destination is Sydney, where you will explore the Sydney Opera House on a guided tour and a cruise on Sydney Harbour.
