From the beaches to the Alps to the sweeping plains and weaving waterways, this New Zealand vacation will put you amongst the best places to experience the unique nature and wildlife that awaits.

From Christchurch, travel southeast of the city to the only place in the world you can swim with Hectors dolphins, the worlds smallest and rarest dolphin. Travel north to Kaikoura and board your vessel to see the year-long resident giant sperm whales.

Travel to Arthur’s Pass for an overnight stay at the magical Wilderness Lodge, midway between Christchurch and Greymouth. Join naturalist guides and real sheep farmers, spot wildlife, hike mountains or drink from alpine streams!

Continue across to the West Coast on the TranzAlpine train and collect your rental car. Head south to Franz Josef for a two-night stay where you can explore the glacier region or relax in the glacier hot pools.

Further south is the Wilderness Lodge Moeraki where you will enjoy two nights of relaxation or optional activities. Explore rainforest trails, hike spectacular seacoast or enjoy tranquil lake kayaking. Learn New Zealand’s fascinating natural history and see penguins, seals & other wildlife.

Head inland to the picturesque township of Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park. Visit the glowworm caves located on the western side of the lake and enjoy a nature cruise on Milford Sound and admire the grandeur of the fiord and its sheer cliffs and peaks.

Explore the alpine village of Queenstown where you can enjoy several adventure activities or perhaps wine tastings in one of the many vineyards surrounding the area.

Visit Dunedin, New Zealand’s best kept secret with historical heritage buildings and the only mainland breeding site for any species of albatross in the world.

Further up the coast lies Oamaru which boasts the country’s oldest public gardens and Victoria architecture as well as two penguin colonies. Explore this heritage in the Victorian Precinct, where you will find, shops, galleries and traditional crafts. Be sure to visit Whitestone City, a heritage experience the is filled with interactive experiences!

Continue to Christchurch for an overnight stay before returning your rental vehicle the following morning.
