Single or solo travelers are in for a real adventure. There’s plenty of options available, and one of the things we love about travel to safari lodges, is that you will not be lonely. You’ll meet your fellow passengers in your safari game drive vehicle, with plenty of opportunities to get to know each other, and generally your guide will sit with you for dinner, if you like. When you travel to these destinations, people are really friendly and you’ll find by sitting at the bar in your hotel, or perhaps venturing out to a local eatery, you will be able to rub shoulders with the locals and strike up lively conversations.

Get connected by going to cocktail parties, or happy hours hosted by your accommodation, join small group tours so that you have a better chance of meeting like minded travelers, and try something new every day – you’ll be surprised at the confidence it gives you, not to mention the stories it provides around the communal dinner table at night.

Beach vacations are perfect to relax and rejuvenate, and the Indian Ocean has a stunning backdrop in which to revive. There will be plenty of cocktail hours, and if you want to venture out to a nightclub but don’t have anyone to go with, speak to the staff at the resort you are staying, and see if anyone has any recommendations, chances are they’ll be heading out for dancing themselves.. the biggest thing about traveling by yourself is being open. Open up to strangers inviting you to join them for dinner, open up to trying new things, and open up to being by yourself too, get some quality time in with yourself. Start before you leave home by going to the movies by yourself, or perhaps taking yourself out for a nice lunch…
